DEP to Hold Listening Session on Proposed Nutrient Trading Program

The Department of Environmental Protection this week announced another of its listening sessions for December 12 in Lancaster to collect public input on the Interim Final Nutrient and Sediment Trading Policy.

The meeting is co-sponsored by the Department's Citizens Advisory Council and the Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts Inc. and will be facilitated with the help of the Pennsylvania Environmental Council.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at the Lancaster Farm and Home Center.

Interested individuals from agriculture, wastewater treatment facilities, industrial plants, developers, conservation districts, watershed association and environmental groups are invited to attend the above meetings to provide input concerning the department's guidelines.
