The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the October 3 PA Bulletin of the availability of the new, final technical guidance on Underground Storage Tank Cathodic Protection Systems.

The purpose of the 21-page guidance is to establish guidelines regarding the evaluation of cathodic protection systems operating on underground storage tank systems in the Pennsylvania. Other aspects related to the installation, operation and repair of cathodic protection systems are also addressed in this document where necessary.
