The following bills of interest were introduced this week--

Dam Repair Funding: House Bill 1712 (R-Brown-R-Monroe) establishing the Private Dam Financial Assurance Program (sponsor summary).

Natural Gas Energy Zone: House Bill 1731 (Turzai-R-Allegheny) creates a Keystone Energy Authority and provides for the designation of up to 20 Keystone Energy Enhancement Zones where companies would be eligible for a variety of local tax exemptions and other tax credits (sponsor summary).

Safe Pharmaceutical Destruction: House Bill 1737 (Maher-R-Allegheny) adopting the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requirement for providing for the safe destruction of unwanted and unused pharmaceutical drugs in waste to energy facilities (sponsor summary).
