Duquesne University’s Sustainability MBA Lands On Another Top 10 Listing

Duquesne University’s Sustainability MBA Program, recently named as one of the world’s top 10 MBA programs, has been selected by one of the most widely read websites on ethical, sustainable and profitable business, as one of the Top 10 Graduate Programs for Environmental Sustainability.

The Triple Pundit website, which draws more than 450,000 unique monthly readers, is a Certified B-Corporation dedicated to social and environmental sustainability based on a triple bottom line of performance.

This organization and its advocates argue that the economy, environment and society are inseparably related, and an understanding of all three is critical to society’s ability to flourish long term.

In Duquesne’s listing, Triple Pundit noted that the program has been ranked among the Global Top 25 by the Aspen Institute and by the Canadian-based Corporate Knights as a global Top 10 MBA program.

Duquesne’s MBA focused on sustainability also has been named by the international nonprofit Net Impact as a Top 10 Graduate Program for Environmental Sustainability and a Top 50 Program for Social Impact.

Noting the importance of sustainability as an impact on stock performance and corporate benefit, Triple Pundit said that consumers increasingly want companies they support to be environmentally sustainable.

“If environmental sustainability is important in business, then it should be important in business school programs, including graduate programs,” the website said.

Duquesne’s MBA focused on sustainability, a one-year, full-time program integrating study abroad with experiential and academic knowledge, was launched in 2007 and draws its cohort from international applicants.
