Since it was enacted in February of 2012, the Act 13 drilling impact fee has generated an estimated $855 million in revenue that benefits not only statewide programs, but county and local governments.

In 2014 alone local governments in the Marcellus Shale regions of the state shared more than $123 million.

The Township News tells the stories of how the impact fees have been used in townships in Bradford, Clearfield, Crawford, Greene, Tioga and Venango counties.
