Air Quality Advisory Committee To Get 1st Look At Methane Reduction Program Feb. 11

The DEP Air Quality Technical Advisory Committee meets February 11 and will give its members and the public the first look at some of the concepts DEP will use to regulate methane emissions from oil and gas operations. The afternoon agenda includes: Proposed Strategy Setting Methane Limits On Oil & Gas Industry; Concepts for Proposed General Permit For Well Pads; and Concepts for Proposed GP-5 Revisions. (None of the documents have been posted, but check back later.) The morning agenda has these items listed: Draft Final VOC Emissions Limits For Vehicle Assembly Coating Operations; Draft Final VOC Emissions For Metal Parts Coating; Draft Proposed Industrial Cleaning Solvents Limits; DEP Comments On EPA’s Cross-State Air Pollution Rule Update; and Report On Rulemakings/State Implementation Plan Revisions. The meeting will be in Room 105 of the Rachel Carson Building in Harrisburg starting at 9:15. There is no option yet to watch the meeting online.
