Fort Washington State Park Seeking Volunteers For April 2 Work Day

The Friends of Fort Washington State Park in Montgomery County is seeking volunteers to help with mulching around recently planted trees, trash cleanup, raking leaves and other Springtime projects on April 2.

Over 500,000 people visit the park each year and with the assistance of volunteers the park is able to maintain its natural beauty and the wonderful outdoor recreation opportunities it provides.

Volunteers will meet in the Militia Hill are of the park at parking lot #5 near the observation deck.  Refreshments and a picnic lunch will be provided.

Rail date is April 3 only if there is heavy rain or snow.  Contact the park office with questions by calling 215-591-5250.
