The Environmental Quality Board published notice in the March 5 PA Bulletin of proposed water quality designation changes and corrections for dozens of Class A Wild Trout Waters in 26 counties for public comment.

The stream redesignation list of was adopted by the EQB in November 2015.

The counties include Berks, Blair, Bradford, Bucks, Carbon, Centre, Clinton, Columbia, Cumberland, Forest, Franklin, Huntingdon, Indiana, Lebanon, Lehigh, Luzerne, Northampton, Monroe, Schuylkill, Somerset, Susquehanna, Tioga, Venango, Wayne, Westmoreland and Wyoming.

Comment are due on the proposed changes by April 11.  DEP’s eComment webpage may be used to submit comments.

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice of the 2016 ozone season nitrogen oxide emission limits for nonelectric generating units in the March 5 PA Bulletin.

DEP published notice it is reevaluating the water quality designations for 26 streams or stream segments in 19 counties, including: Berks, Cambria, Cameron, Carbon, Centre, Clinton, Cumberland, Huntingdon, Indiana, Lackawanna, Lycoming, Northampton, Potter, Schuylkill, Somerset, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union and Wayne counties.

Persons who have technical data concerning the water quality, instream habitat or biological condition of these stream sections are encouraged to make it available to the Department for consideration in the assessment.

These assessments may lead to recommendations to the Environmental Quality Board for redesignation.

Data should be submitted within 30 days of this notice-- April 4.

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources published notice of the final technical guidance imposing a $40 convenience fee for receipts from permit reviews done through its on PA Natural Diversity Inventory Environmental Review Tool-- renamed the PA Conservation Explorer-- in the March 5 PA Bulletin.

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice of no change in the 2016 anthracite and bituminous surface mine reclamation bond rate guidelines (page 1280) and notice of bonding rates for water supply replacement in the March 5 PA Bulletin.

DEP also published notice of final technical guidance on Radiation Protection Compliance and Enforcement in the March 5 PA Bulletin.
