Solid Waste Advisory Committee Meets April 27 On E-Waste, Recycling Issues

DEP’s Solid Waste Advisory Committee is scheduled to meet on April 27 and on the agenda is a discussion of the collapse of the electronics waste recycling program in Pennsylvania.

Also on the agenda is the issue of CRT TV and monitor management specifically and the fact there are now 15 million pounds of CRTs waiting to be recycled in warehouses in Erie.

DEP will also discuss the Climate Change Action Plan and hear a presentation by Michele Nestor, Chair of PA Recycling Markets Development Center Board on the Act 101 Recycling Law Past, Present and Future.

The meeting will be held in Room 105 Rachel Carson Building starting at 10:00.
