The House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee will hold a hearing February 8 on House Bill 2141 (Geist-R-Blair) that would prohibit Pennsylvania from adopting California vehicle emission standards.

Scheduled to provide testimony are the Department of Environmental Protection, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the New York Department of Environmental Conservation and automakers.

The full House referred House Bill 2141 to the Committee for consideration before the holidays.

The House Committee is chaired by Rep. Bill Adolph (R-Delaware) and Rep. Bud George (D-Clearfield).
