The PA Highlands Coalition will be hosting a webinar on June 10 starting at 2:00 p.m. on the History and Importance of Dam Removal and the Successes, Challenges and Opportunities in Pennsylvania.

The conversation will be led by Dr. Laura Craig, Director of Science and Economics & River Restoration at American Rivers, and Kristie Fach, Director of Ecological Restoration at Wildlands Conservancy.

Webinar attendees will learn about the history and ecological importance of restoring streams and rivers through dam removal across the United States, and also discuss logistical challenges, opportunities, and success stories removing dams and restoring waterways at home in the Pennsylvania Highlands.

After the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to present questions and comments on the program.
