House (June 13): House Resolution 60 (Emrick-R-Northampton) directing the Legislative Budget and Finance Committee to conduct a comprehensive review of the state’s program to regulate the beneficial use of sewage sludge; Senate Bill 307 (Yudichak-D-Luzerne) providing for an independent counsel for the Environmental Quality Board; Senate Bill 562 (Gordner-R-Columbia) amending the Regulatory Review Act to give the General Assembly additional time to review agency regulations; Senate Bill 1071 (Browne-R-Lehigh), the “agreed-to” pension reform bill.  <> Click Here for full House Bill Calendar.

Lyme Disease: Senate Bill 1299 (Greenleaf-R-Montgomery) providing for patient access to diagnostics and treatments for Lyme disease (sponsor summary).

Billboard Regulation: Senate Bill 1301 (Dinniman-D-Chester) further providing for the regulation of outdoor advertising.

Rolling Back State Environmental Laws & Regulations: Senate Resolution 385 (Brooks-R- Crawford) directing the Joint State Government Commission to conduct a study to analyze and identifying which environmental laws and regulations have more stringent standards than federal law requires (sponsor summary).

Water Contamination At Fmr Military Bases: House Resolution 916 (Stephens-R-Montgomery) urging EPA and the Department of Defense to take all necessary action to ensure safe drinking water around former military bases in Montgomery and Bucks Counties was introduced and adopted by the House.
