Voting Begins June 13 For Your Favorite Great American Cleanup Of PA Video

Your help is needed to choose the winners of the 4nd Annual Great American Cleanup of PA Video Contest.  From June 13 to June 23 “Like” your favorites on the  Keep PA Beautiful’s Facebook page.

“The Great American Cleanup of PA is more than just the number of volunteers, pounds of trash collected, or even trees planted,” said Shannon Reiter, president of Keep PA Beautiful. “It’s about our community story and what kind of story we want to tell our children, family, friends and neighbors.

“This contest brings these stories to life and this year’s entries tell amazing tales of partnerships, resilience, and innovation. From middle schoolers raising funds for classroom recycling efforts to self-proclaimed river rats fighting for the islands they love-- we couldn’t be more pleased to share these stories through the video contest,” said Reiter.  “We are anxious to see who is chosen as this year’s winner and congratulate and thank all of this year’s storytellers. Thank you for sharing in our mission and vision of a clean and beautiful Pennsylvania!”

Keep PA Beautiful received 11 entries that are representative of the diverse grassroots network that participates in the Great American Cleanup of PA.

Winners will be announced June 24th on Facebook. So spread the word - get your friends, family members and colleagues to VOTE for your favorite video.

Cash prizes, sponsored by the PA Waste Industries Association, are $200 for the winning entry and $100 each for two runners up.

Additional sponsors for the video contest are Keep PA Beautiful and the Department of Environmental Protection.
