The following bills of interest were introduced this week--

Increasing Waste Disposal Fee: House Bill 2223 (Hanna-D-Centre) would increase per ton waste disposal fee from $6.25 to $8.00 and apply to construction and demolition waste and residual waste.  The $35 million expected to be generated per year would deposited in the Environmental Stewardship Fund (Growing Greener) (sponsor summary).

National Park Service Study: House Resolution 949 (Petrarca-D-Westmoreland) urging the National Park Service to complete the Eastern Legacy Special Resource Study (sponsor summary).

Coal Miner Heritage Day: House Resolution 951 (Kaufer-R-Luzerne) designating the third Saturday in July Coal Miner Heritage Day was introduced and adopted by the House (sponsor summary).

Anthracite Heritage Day: Senate Resolution 405 (Baker-R-Luzerne) designating July 16 Anthracite Heritage Day in Pennsylvania was adopted by the Senate (sponsor summary).
