Get Outdoors PA Announces Award Of 9 Community Partner Mini-Grants

Get Outdoors PA recently announced the award of 9 Community Partner Mini-Grants totaling $17,030 were awarded in its second round of the grant program.

Three of the 50 percent matching grants totaling $3,000 each—the maximum—went to:

-- Manheim Township, Lancaster County: Bird/wildlife viewing, nature photography, and hiking/walking;

-- Venture Outdoors, Allegheny County: Geocaching, bird/wildlife viewing, and camping; and

-- Wildlands Conservancy, Lehigh County: Biking and paddling.

Other recipients received grant funding for similar programming, in addition to snowshoeing, orienteering, and others.
