Stroud Hosts Webinars On Leaf Pack Environmental Education Program

The Stroud Water Research Center is hosting a series of 4 webinars on its innovative Leaf Pack Experiment Stream Ecology Kit in September. The webinars are scheduled for-- -- September 7: Introduction To The Leaf Pack Network 3:30 and 6:30 p.m; and -- September 17: Slimy Leaves For Healthy Streams 9:30 - 3:30. The Leaf Pack Experiment is a fun, hands-on research and outreach tool for citizens of all ages and teachers, demonstrating how our actions on land impact life in streams and water quality. Leaf Pack promotes inquiry-based interdisciplinary watershed education and engages diverse audiences in conducting their own experiments, gathering relevant ecological data, exploring food webs, learning classification skills, using technology to share data, comparing data with those of other communities and applying that information to protect local watersheds.
