The PA Association of Environmental Educators and similar groups from Delaware and New Jersey are supporting a one day symposium called Fast Forward: The Future Of Environmental Education October 7 at the Dupont Environmental Education Center,1400 Delmarva lane, Wilmington Delaware from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

At this one-day symposium, the environmental education community of the region convenes to engage in a dialogue that addresses an important question: What resources do we need to be adaptive in a field that is increasingly important and complex, requiring innovative solutions to be effective?

The modern environmental education movement faces unprecedented challenges and opportunities. Environmental problems loom large with climate change altering the landscapes and waters we all need to survive, increasing the need to communicate scientific expertise and address the needs and interests of a diverse community.

At this pivotal moment, the ever evolving social and technological landscape both tests our ability and presents new means to stay relevant and communicate effectively with the general public.

This event is also the Mid-Atlantic regional meeting for Association of Nature Center Administrators and is a great way to network with professionals in your field.
