The Delaware River Basin Commission Wednesday released its 2016 Water Quality Assessment Report showing water quality is meeting designated water uses at most locations in each assessment zone of the river.

Uses include aquatic life, recreation, public water supply, fish consumption and shellfish consumption.

This assessment report used data from October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2015 to determine whether the uses were being met.

DRBC’s water quality assessment is completed every two years.
