Reuse, repair and repurpose school supplies to save time, money and the earth's resources—

1. Tackle Piles of Paper: Paper accounts for 25% of waste in landfills, so make a point to combine leftover notebook paper into three-ring binders.

2. Reuse Whenever Possible: Mechanical pencils, binders, folders and numerous other school supplies can find new life in the new school year.

3. Get Creative: Use leftover crayons for a variety of craft projects — from suncatchers to holiday ornaments — or donate them to a number of charities.
