DEP’s Ken Reisinger, Deputy For Waste, Air, Radiation & Remediation, To Retire Oct. 1

Kenneth R. Reisinger, DEP Deputy for Waste, Air, Radiation and Remediation, Tuesday announced he will be retiring October 1 after more than 37 years of public service

As Deputy Secretary, he oversaw the air quality; hazardous, municipal and residual waste; municipal waste planning and recycling; radiation protection and radon; and Brownfields redevelopment, hazardous sites cleanup and storage tanks programs.

Prior to his appointment as deputy secretary he served in a variety of technical and managerial roles, including eight years as Director of the Bureau of Waste Management and 16 years as Chief of the Division of Waterways, Wetlands and Stormwater Management.

In addition, from 2009 to 2011 Ken served as acting deputy secretary overseeing the waste, air and radiation programs.

Ken is a United States Air Force veteran and a graduate of Shippensburg University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social, Cultural, and Economic Geography in 1980 and a Master of Science degree in Geoenvironmental Studies in 1981.
