UGI Pipeline Testing Temporarily Closing Parts Of D&H, O&W Rail Trails Sept. 26-30

Pipeline integrity testing by UGI Utilities will temporarily close sections of the D&H Trail and O&H Rail-Trail in Lackawanna and Susquehanna counties from September 26 to 30.

The D&H Rail-Trail will be closed from Simpson to the Borough of Union Dale. This closure also includes the first two miles of the O&W Rail-Trail beginning at Homestead Street in Simpson. The trails will not be disturbed during the testing.

"UGI recognizes local residents  and hikers will be inconvenienced during this project.  We will work to complete this pipeline testing in a timely manner," Robert P. Krieger, vice president of operations, said. "This project is part of UGI's continuing commitment to provide safe and reliable natural gas service to our customers and our communities.“
