Call For Presenters - 2017 PA Groundwater Symposium May 3 In State College

The Penn State Extension’s Master Well Owner Network and the Department of Environmental Protection invite you to submit abstracts for the 2017 Pennsylvania Groundwater Symposium to be held May 3 at the Ramada Inn Conference Center in State College.

The deadline for abstracts for oral or poster presentations is February 1.

The Symposium will provide a forum for researchers, students, professionals and educators working in the groundwater field to exchange information and promote protection of groundwater resources throughout the state.

Presentations are sought on a wide variety of groundwater topics including but not limited to: Groundwater monitoring; Climate impacts on groundwater; Data availability and access; Groundwater processes; Karst groundwater systems; Wellhead protection; Water well studies; Emerging contaminants; Aquifer studies; Groundwater/surface water interactions; Issues related to energy extraction; and Education and outreach.

The conference planning committee will review all abstracts and notify authors of acceptance via email in mid-February 2017. The complete Symposium agenda and registration will be available in late February 2017.
