DEP Offers Free Help To Make Local Recycling Programs Self-Sustaining

The Department of Environmental Protection is urging local governments with recycling programs to take advantage of free help through its Recycling Technical Assistance Program to make their programs self-sustaining.

The Program offers advice on how to upgrade recycling programs to maximize material recovery and ensure a program’s sustainability.

Technical Assistance, up to a value of $7,5000, is available at no charge to local governments selected to participate.

The Program offers help with curbside and drop-off recycling, leaf collection, material recovery facilities, composting, commercial recycling, and pay-as-you-throw systems.
