The U.S. Department of Agriculture is now accepting applications for its Section 9006 Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Improvements Grants Program.

The application deadline is May 12.

Half of the Section 9006 funding will be set aside for guaranteed loans. Unlike the grant program, USDA will issue guaranteed loans on a rolling basis based on successful applications. Any guaranteed loan funds not obligated by August 1 will be available for the grant program.
