DCNR: Jan. 11 How To Apply For Riparian Buffer, Recreation Grants, Other Webinars

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is beginning a new series of webinars offering training and technical assistance on its grants programs and other conservation-related topics. The first webinar will be held January 11 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. on how to apply for a Riparian Buffer, Recreation and Conservation Partnership Grant. The next round of Riparian Buffer, Recreation and Conservation Partnership Grants opens January 23 and closes April 12. “Participants in these webinars will have a chance to learn about our 2017 grant program and so much more,” said DCNR Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn. “It’s all there: information on recreation and conservation projects. How municipalities can mitigate storm-water requirements by infusing green infrastructure elements into park and trail systems. Stewardship responsibilities associated with receiving grant funding. And, our new Riparian Forest Grant program.” Other upcoming DCNR webinars include-- -- January 18: Making Community Parks Sustainable, Fun, Functional, 10:00 to 11:30; -- January 25: DCNR Grant Stewardship Responsibilities, 10:00 to 11:30; and -- February 8: New DCNR Riparian Forest Buffer Grant Program, 10:00 to 11:30.
