Westmoreland District: 5 Manure Management Manual Workshops In March

The Westmoreland County Conservation District will host five free Manure Management Manual Workshops in March to provide one-on-one assistance to farmers to prepare a Manure Management Plan for their farm.

Topics covered will include the revised Manure Management Manual, Chapter 102 (Erosion and Sediment Control) updates, and using PAOneStop for your Manure Management Plan and Ag E&S Plan.

Attendees will receive a copy of the updated Manure Management Manual.

The workshops will be held—

-- March 1: Westmoreland Conservation District, J. Roy Houston Conservation Center, 218 Donohoe Road, Greensburg, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

-- March 9: Loyalhanna Township Building, 220 5th Street, Saltsburg, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.       

-- March 14: Washington Township Building, 285 Pine Run Church Road, Apollo, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

-- March 23: Mount Pleasant Township Building, 212 Poker Road, Mount Pleasant, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

-- March 30: Derry School Ag Building, 988 N. Chestnut St. Extension, Derry, 6 p.m.- 9 p.m.

The workshops are free, but registration is required no later than two days before the requested workshop.
