The Department of Environmental Protection is holding a briefing for the Mercury Rule Work Group February 22. The Public Utility Commission published a proposed policy on small water system acquisitions. The Fish and Boat Commission published final changes to the Class A Wild Trout Waters.

The Department of Environmental Protection is holding a briefing for members of the Citizens Advisory Council, Air Quality Technical Advisory Committee and Mercury Rule Workgroup to discuss concepts and options for the development of regulations to control mercury emissions from coal-fired electric utility generating units. The meeting will be held on February 22 at 2:00 p.m. in Room 105 of the Rachel Carson State Office Building.

The Public Utility Commission published its proposed policy for reviewing and approving small, nonviable water company acquisitions that it hopes will increase the number of mergers and encourage regionalization. Comments on the policy are due by March 20.
