House

Statewide Construction Code: House Bill 162 (Maloney-R- Berks) (sponsor summary), House Bill 177 (Pickett-R-Bradford) (sponsor summary) and House Bill 298 (Delozier-R-Cumberland) (sponsor summary) all amending the statewide Construction Code were reported from the House Labor and Industry Committee and are now on the House Calendar for action.

Senate

Performance Budgeting: Senate Bill 181 (Mensch-R-Montgomery) establishing a Performance-Based Budget Board and a new bureaucracy requiring state agencies to justify their budget requests for all existing and proposed programs every year was passed by the Senate.  A Senate Fiscal Note and summary is available.
