Multiple news outlets are reporting President Trump will name Pennsylvania PUC Commissioner Robert Powelson to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, which oversees the siting and approval of interstate oil and gas pipelines.
Powelson has served on the PUC since June of 2008 when he was nominated by Gov. Rendell for the position. He was appointed Chair of the Commission in 2011 by Gov. Corbett and began another term as commissioner in 2014. His term expires in 2019.
