IFO Reports PA Natural Gas Production Increased 10.8 Percent In 2016

The Independent Fiscal Office reported natural gas production increased by 10.8 percent from unconventional gas wells in 2016. Production in 2016 was 5.094.1 trillion cubic feet compared to 4.596.9 trillion in 2015. Susquehanna and Washington counties were the top producing counties in the state followed by Bradford, Greene, Lycoming, Wyoming, Tioga, Butler, Sullivan and Fayette. The number of producing wells increased by 9.7 percent and production volume increased by 10.9 percent in 2016. Pennsylvania continues to be number two in the country in natural gas production to Texas which produced 8.120 trillion cubic feet in 2016. Click Here for the complete report.
