The following bills of interest saw action this week in the House and Senate--

House

General Fund Budget: House Bill 218 (Saylor- R-York) is the vehicle for the House Republican budget proposal and was amended and reported out of the House Appropriations Committee on a party-line vote and passed by the House 114 to 84.  A House Fiscal Note and summary is available.  The bill now goes to the Senate for action.

Construction Code: House Bill 266 (Harper-R-Montgomery) making changes to the state Construction Code Appeals Board was removed from the Table, amended on the House Floor, was referred into and out of the House Appropriations Committee and passed by the House 190 to 1.  A House Fiscal Note and summary is available.  The bill now goes to the Senate for action.

Construction Code: House Bill 409 (Evankovich-R-Allegheny) makes fundamental changes to the method of adopting updates to the Uniform Construction Code was amended and reported from the House Labor and Industry Committee and was referred to the House Appropriations Committee.
