The House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee Wednesday approved and reported out two bills--

-- House Bill 290 (Metzgar-R-Bedford) changing the members of the Underground Storage Tank Indemnification (Insurance) Board to include legislative appointments (as amended); and

-- House Bill 938 (Evankovich-R-Allegheny) exempting steel slag from the definition of waste under Act 97 (sponsor summary).

Both bills were then Tabled, which is the usual procedure.
