Green Building Alliance Offers Kayak Tour Of Green Buildings In Pittsburgh July 11

Join the Green Building Alliance as they paddle along the Allegheny River, enjoying the natural beauty the waterway has to offer and a unique look at Pittsburgh’s green buildings on July 11 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Led by GBA staff members, this adventure will be a trip both into Pittsburgh’s past and future. Paddling northward from under the Roberto Clemente Bridge, they will stop along the way to point out various green buildings visible from the river and share insights into the city’s green development.

Don’t worry if this is your first time kayaking, as this is flat-water (NOT white-water) kayaking and even easier than riding a bike.  There are no rapids, the boats are very stable and easy to steer, and the waters are not infested with sharks or piranhas.

All event participants will get to learn about GBA’s Emerging Professionals and other members.  EPs especially are encouraged to sign up for this event as one of GBA’s monthly EP activities.

Space is limited, so register today to see Pittsburgh from a completely new angle!  (If we get fewer than 10 participants, the trip will be canceled and your payment refunded.)

The tour will launch from Kayak Pittsburgh, which is located on the North Shore directly under the Roberto Clemente (6th Street) Bridge.
