Women Environmental Professionals: Green Infrastructure Tour Oct. 6 In Lancaster County

The Society of Women Environmental Professionals Capital Chapter is inviting its members and their friends to a Healthy Watershed Tour of Green Infrastructure Projects and Stormwater Best Management Practices around Lititz in Lancaster County on October 6 from 1:00 to 4:45 p.m. LandStudies, which has designed and built nearly 100 green infrastructure sites in Pennsylvania, with approximately 30 located near Lititz, will host the tour. LandStudies will share its vast experience in water resource management and watershed planning with Tour participants for the purpose of ensuring U.S. Environmental Protection Agency compliance, improving community well-being and providing economic value to stakeholders. The hands-on educational Tour showcases nearby green infrastructure sites with up to 15 years of performance history and cost-effective best management practices that stack environmental and regulatory benefits. The tour will start from the Landis Home Retirement Community located at 1001 East Oregon Road, Lititz. The cost of this tour is $30 which includes buss fees, drinks and snacks.
