Public Hearing Sept. 13 On Sulfur Dioxide Air Quality Plan Changes For Indiana County

The Department of Environmental Protection will hold a public hearing September 13 on a proposed State Air Quality Implementation Plan revision which demonstrates how the Indiana County nonattainment area will attain the federal standard for sulfur dioxide. (formal notice) Persons wishing to present testimony should contact the Department no less than 24 hours in advance of the public hearing to reserve a time. Reservation requests should be directed to Amanda Rodriguez by writing P.O. Box 8468, Harrisburg, PA 17105, calling 717-787-9702 or send email to: amarodrigu@pa.gov to reserve a time. Speakers will be limited to 10 minutes and should provide two written copies of their comments. A copy of the proposed plan can be reviewed on DEP’s eComment webpage. The hearing will be held at the DEP Southwest Regional Office, 500 Waterfront Drive starting at 1:00. All comments must be received no later than September 15. Commentators are encouraged to submit comments using the Department's eComment system or by email to: ecomment@pa.gov.
