Little Buffalo State Park in Perry County will dedicate a new playground area in the Shoaff’s Mill Area of the park on August 14 starting at 3:00 p.m.

The new playground, a big hit with recent visitors, was made possible by the Friends of Little Buffalo, a volunteer group that supports the programs and facilities of the park.

Future projects planned by the group include campground and pool area playgrounds.

The Friend of Little Buffalo State Park have raised money for their projects through firewood sales, donations and annual events.  Several upcoming events include--

-- October 21-22: Old Fashioned Apple Festival;

-- October 28: Halloween Trail; and

-- December 17-23: Little Buffalo Christmas Walk
