DEP Will Accept Comments On Noncoal Mining Permit In Bradford County Until Sept. 20

The Department of Environmental Protection announced Wednesday held an informal public conference to discuss the Large Noncoal (Industrial Minerals) Mine Permit application submitted by Austin’s Excavating & Paving, Inc., for a proposed sand and gravel mine located in Athens Township, Bradford County. Written comments on the permit will be accepted by DEP until September 20 may be sent to David Bisko, Chief, Technical Services Section, via email at dbisko@pa.gov, or via mail at 186 Enterprise Drive, Philipsburg, PA 16866 no later September 20, 2017. A copy of the permit application is available for review at the Bradford County Conservation District office at 200 Lake Road, Suite E, Towanda, PA 18848 during their normal business hours.
