DEP Invites Comments On Mine Reclamation Fee O&M Trust Account Fiscal Year Report

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the September 23 PA Bulletin inviting public comments on the Fiscal Year Report for the Reclamation Fee O&M Trust Account.  Comments are due October 17.

The reclamation fees in this account are used by DEP for the operation and maintenance of mine drainage treatment facilities at Alternative Bonding System Legacy Mining Sites.

The report contains a financial analysis of the revenue and expenditures from the account for Fiscal Year (FY) 2016-2017 and provides projections for FY 2017-2018. The report and any comments provided will be reviewed with the Mining and Reclamation Advisory Board.
