A new survey by the Chesapeake Bay Program found over 70 percent of Pennsylvanians want to do more to make their rivers, streams and lakes healthier.

The first-ever Chesapeake Bay Citizen Stewardship Index asked 1,003 people in the Commonwealth about their environmental stewardship actions and attitudes.

Like other residents of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed, Pennsylvanians want to take actions to improve water quality and environmental health, as well as volunteer in community efforts to improve the environment.
