Senate

Nominations: The nomination of Norman J. Kennard to the Public Utility Commission was unanimously reported out of the Senate Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure Committee and was unanimously confirmed by the Senate.

Eastern Hellbender: Senate Bill 658 (Yaw-R-Lycoming) naming the Eastern Hellbender as Pennsylvania’s state amphibian (sponsor summary) was removed from the Table and passed by the Senate 47 to 2 and now goes to the House for action.
