DEP Invites Data To Help Evaluate Stream Classifications In Chester, Delaware Counties

The Department of Environmental Protection published notice in the November 18 PA Bulletin inviting individuals and groups to send in relevant water quality information to help evaluate the classification of streams in Chester and Delaware counties.

The streams include Marsh Creek in the East Branch Brandywine Creek in Chester County and a tributary to Whetstone Run in Delaware County.

DEP is doing the evaluation as a result of a rulemaking petition submitted to and approved by the Environmental Quality Board in 2016 by the Darby Creek Valley Association in Chester County and in 2017 by the French and Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust in Delaware County.
