Western PA Clear The Air Student Poster Contest Now Accepting School Registrations

The Southwest PA Air Quality Partnership and the PA Resources Council are now accepting school registrations for its Let’s Clear The Air Student Poster Challenge. Teachers should register to participate by January 15. All public, parochial, and private schools in Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Washington and Westmoreland counties are invited to participate. There are three contest categories-- -- Upper Elementary - Grades 4 & 5 -- Middle School - Grades 6 to 8 -- High School - Grades 9 to 12 The challenge – now in its 8th year – is designed to increase awareness of the effects of air pollution, explains ways to reduce exposure and encourages students to take action.
