The Department of Environmental Protection Storm and Flood Recovery webpage contains a wealth of information on how property owners can recover from flooding, including what kinds of help is available.

Information on debris disposal, safe flood cleanup, disinfecting home wells and springs, water-borne diseases, what to do with your septic system after a flood, tips on dealing with flood-related storage tank problems and much more.

The page also includes quick permitting options for dealing with flood-damaged bridges and other water obstructions in rivers and streams.
