The Brodhead Watershed Association will hold another in its series of Water Wiser Kids Programs on February 24 called Who Goes there? Tracking Pocono Wildlife at the Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center, 8050 Running Valley Road in Bartonsville, Monroe County from 10:30 a.m. to Noon.

Children and their parents will have the opportunity to get outside and learn about the tracks and traces that our native wildlife leave behind.

The program will be led by an experienced environmental educator, starts inside as children and their families learn about critters who live in the woods and along the cold, pure streams of the Poconos. How animals make tracks and what to look for in identifying tracks will be covered.

How do animals move in the forest? Where do they gather to drink? Can you tell the difference between a dog track and a coyote?

After the classroom introduction, everyone will move outside for a walk in search of tracks. Learn how different tracks look on the ground compared to on a screen, and enjoy being outdoors in winter – bug-free!

The Water Wiser Kids Series is sponsored by Brodhead Watershed Association, funded by a Dr. Claus Jordan Endowment Grant from Lehigh Valley Health Network Pocono Foundation.
