DEP Invites Comments On Permits For Risberg Pipeline Project In Crawford, Erie Counties

The Department of Environmental Protection published notices inviting comments on the Section 401 Water Quality Certification and a Chapter 105 Joint Encroachments permit for the Risberg Pipeline Project in Erie County (PA Bulletin, page 1343) The project involves construction a new 16.7 million 12-inch pipeline in Erie County to connect to an existing pipeline in Crawford County. The pipeline in Crawford County will also be converted to carry natural gas from Crawford through Erie and into Ohio. The Section 401 Water Quality Certification (WQ06-002) notice can be found on page 1312. The Chapter 105 Joint Encroachments permit (E25-791) notice can be found on page 1312. A General Permit-5 covering Erosion and Sedimentation (ESP062518001) is being required for a temporary equipment crossing of a wetland by the Crawford County Conservation District.
