PennFuture will host a listening session in the Lehigh Valley on March 12, gathering regional watershed groups, volunteers, and organizations to discuss the critical environmental and water quality issues in line with each organization’s mission.

The session will be held at Fegley's Brew Works, 559 Main Street #101 in Bethlehem, Lehigh County from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Together, we will discuss how we can successfully protect our natural resources by addressing stream re-designations, acid mine drainage, pollution from sediment and erosion, land conservation concerns, riparian buffers, and other water quality impacts.

After an initial group discussion, attendees can enjoy a happy hour while focusing on the Delaware River Watershed, including the Lehigh River, Schuylkill River, and their tributaries.

PennFuture’s goal is to meet with local environmental organizations to better understand priorities, struggles, and triumphs environmental groups face, and to explore possible collaboration opportunities.

“Come, mingle, and tell us how we can help make the Lehigh Valley a success in the environmental and clean water arena,” said PennFuture Northeast PA Outreach Coordinator Emily Rinaldi.
