House Committee Approves Alternative Ratemaking Bill To Encourage Conservation, Renewable Energy

The House Consumer Affairs Committee Wednesday amended and reported out House Bill 1782 (Delozier-R-Cumberland) authorizing alternative ratemaking for electric and natural gas distribution companies to encourage energy efficiency improvements, distributed and renewable energy projects

The bill was amended to make it applicable to water and wastewater facility operators.

The House Tabled the bill, which is the usual practice.
