DCNR and the Student Conservation Association are gearing up to launch the seven-week summer PA Outdoor Corps Program, which offers work experience, job training, and educational opportunities to young people who complete recreation and conservation projects on Pennsylvania’s public lands.

The SCA has received a number of applications and has almost all of the crews filled; however, they still need applicants in the following areas:

-- Hazleton, Luzerne County: One crew leader (must be 21 or older) and five crew members (must be between ages of 15-18)

-- McConnellsburg, Fulton County: One to two crew members (must be between ages of 15-18)

-- Renovo, Clinton County: One to three crew members (must be between ages of 15-18)

If you know of any youth in these locations who would be interested in this paid job, which also provides learning opportunities weekly in resource management, environmental issues and topics, and recreation skills, please encourage them to apply.

For more information and instructions for how to apply, visit DCNR’s Pennsylvania Outdoor Corps webpage.
