The PA Technical Assistance Program will host a free Saving Energy Costs By Implementing An Energy Management System Workshop at the Penn State New Kensington Campus in Westmoreland County.

DOE’s 50001 Ready program is a self-guided approach for facilities to establish an energy management system and self-attest to the structure of ISO 50001, a voluntary global standard for energy management systems in industrial, commercial, and institutional facilities.

No matter how large or small your organization, implementing a structured energy management system can be a key step to: Cutting operational costs; Achieving continuous operational improvement; Improving risk management; and Staying competitive in the marketplace.

Let PennTAP show you how implementing an Energy Management System (EnMS) will reduce your organization’s energy costs. This workshop will:

-- Help you understand the structure, goals and many benefits of an EnMS;

-- Outline the steps involved in implementing and maintaining an EnMS at your facility; and

-- Provide a step-by-step walk through of the Department of Energy’s online tool – 50001 Ready.

This workshop is brought to you with funding through the U.S. Department of Energy State Energy Program and the Department of Environmental Protection.

The workshop will be held at The Corner, 701 Fifth Avenue in New Kensington from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
