Gifford Pinchot's Grey Towers Opens For 2018 Season In Pike County

As its beautiful annuals and perennials awaken from their winter slumber, Gifford Pinchot’s Grey Towers National Historic Site in Milford, Pike County, opens for its 2018 visitor season. [Who is Gifford Pinchot? Video] The 1886 mansion, its gardens and grounds offer a special setting for guided tours, public programs and reflective inspirational thinking. Guided tours of the mansion are offered every day except Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the hour. Reservations are required for groups larger than 10 and youth programs. Watch how lace is made by hand in a demonstration by the Lost Art Lace Makers of North Jersey on June 9 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. An outdoor landscape painting program begins on June 14 at 10:00 a.m. and is offered throughout the summer.
